People tend to ignore the most important feeling of the midlife crisis:
An overwhelming desire for change.
You question various aspects of your life.
You feel that something is not right:
- Your health is not like it used to be.
- Your career is no longer satisfactory.
- You and your partner became distant.
- You still haven’t achieved what you always dreamt about and you are losing faith that it will ever happen.
- Your relationship with your children is not as you imagined it.
- You are no longer passionate about the things you were before.
But it is all too easy to ignore these feelings:
- “It’s ok as it is”
- “It could be worse”
- “It cannot be changed”
- “I should not complain”
Don’t do it to yourself.
Do not ignore your need for a change.
Stop debating and move forward.
- See which things cause you the most pain
- Convince yourself you can change it.
- Plan to go ahead.
This will give you more control over your life and a goal to pursue.
It’s not easy, but you’ll feel the difference.
