Client - Coach Coaching Agreement

Coaching Purpose

The aim of the coaching partnership is to work towards the client’s goals, either personal or professional; during this cooperation, the client takes responsibility for establishing their goals and making decisions, whereas the coach supports them in the thought process and execution of the planned actions.

Throughout the coaching process, the conversations and outcomes will remain confidential between the coach and client. The coach and client relationship is a trusted one, with all personal information, ideas and objectives remaining between us. As your coach I will destroy all working notes and project materials that I hold at the conclusion of the coaching relationship.

The terms and scope of this coaching agreement abide by the International Coach Federation Code of Ethics.

Sessions Frequency & Duration

We will start with one 30-minute Free Discovery Session.

For Regular Coaching Sessions I recommend conducting 50-minute session every 1 or 2 weeks, but we can agree on any arrangement that best suits your needs.

Sometimes if we are done, we may finish a session early, or, if our schedule permits for both of us, we may run over.

Cooperation Duration

After the Free Discovery Session, you will decide if you want to start Full Sessions.

The decision of the duration of our work together can be made jointly if your goals were reached, or any time by you alone. In case of the Client’s resignation, the fees for the remaining sessions paid in advance will not be returned.

In rare cases the cooperation can be terminated by the Coach.

Coaching vs. Therapy

Client acknowledges that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals and that it is the Client’s exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed.

If Client is currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that the Client promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the coaching relationship agreed upon by the Client and the Coach.

Coaching is not therapy, financial planning or any other form of advice. At times before and throughout our appointments, I may advise you to consult a professional or other expert before making certain decisions. You are solely responsible for following through with this advice, for the selection of an appropriate professional, and for implementing any suggestions that they may make.

Audio-Visual Recordings

You can record your own sessions with my prior consent.

I may record sessions for my own professional development, to share with my own mentors, supervisors, and legal advisers. This will only happen with your prior consent. If sharing with others I will remove or alter any identifying personal details to preserve your identity if required. I am very conscious of your IP, and will take all reasonable efforts to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
