Need For a Change As a Midlife Crisis Symptom

People tend to ignore the most important feeling of the midlife crisis:

An overwhelming desire for change.

You question various aspects of your life.
You feel that something is not right:

  • Your health is not like it used to be.
  • Your career is no longer satisfactory.
  • You and your partner became distant.
  • You still haven’t achieved what you always dreamt about and you are losing faith that it will ever happen.
  • Your relationship with your children is not as you imagined it.
  • You are no longer passionate about the things you were before.

But it is all too easy to ignore these feelings:

  • “It’s ok as it is”
  • “It could be worse”
  • “It cannot be changed”
  • “I should not complain”

Don’t do it to yourself.
Do not ignore your need for a change.

Stop debating and move forward.

  1. See which things cause you the most pain
  2. Convince yourself you can change it.
  3. Plan to go ahead.

This will give you more control over your life and a goal to pursue.

It’s not easy, but you’ll feel the difference.
